Will Smith filming "I Am Legend" Filming in Manhattan

Last summer, Will Smith was in town shooting I Am Legend — we covered it here. He’s back this week and lower Manhattan is buzzing. The waterfront by the the Brooklyn Bridge is covered in spotlights, cranes and trailers. From far away it seemed like a gigantic movie set; close up, it felt more like being in a war zone. Army helicopters were everywhere, and extras marched around in National Guard uniforms.

We went down to check it out and were lucky enough to catch the man himself. Will Smith took a minute to greet fans & pose for pictures. We also got to peek inside his trailer — he’s got a big plasma TV in there.
